On Tuesday, the Council was joined by Jim Stowe, director of the Office of Human Rights and the Remembrance and Reconciliation Commission to present a proclamation in honor of Remembrance and Reconciliation Month. Council Vice President Andrew Friedson and Councilmembers Will Jawando and Laurie-Anne Sayles sponsored this proclamation.
The Remembrance and Reconciliation Commission was created by the Montgomery County Council to support the goal of bringing the community together to promote understanding of our history and seek reconciliation among residents.
