MCDOT Honors Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks was an American hero who refused to give up her seat to a white man on a Montgomery, Alabama bus on Dec. 1, 1955. 

To honor Parks, MCDOT has placed placards inside all Ride On buses throughout December to commemorate her leadership, activism and bravery. Public transportation has historically had a huge impact on racial equity and social justice, which remains a priority today.
