Prematurity Awareness Month

This week, Council Vice President Andrew Friedson presented a proclamation recognizing November as Prematurity Awareness Month. This month serves to raise awareness on the issue and help put mothers in contact with services to help reduce the risk for preterm birth. The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Montgomery County Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Board and its Community Action Team support efforts to increase awareness of this serious health issue.
