Delta Sigma Theta Day
On Jan 30, 2024, the Council celebrated Delta Sigma Theta Day, led by Councilmembers Gabe Albornoz, Laurie-Anne Sayles and Will Jawando. They were joined by the Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter and the Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Founded in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta has become one of the preeminent service-based sororities with more than 300,000 initiated members and over 1,000 chartered chapters worldwide.
