Recognizing Minority Health Month
On April 23, 2024, Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles presents a proclamation for Minority Health Month with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Montgomery County's minority health programs provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services to improve health outcomes and alleviate health disparities. Among some of the County's most impactful health programs are the African American Health Program, the Latino Health Initiative, the Asian American Health Initiative and the Black Physicians Healthcare Network.
