On June 11, 2024, Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles presents a proclamation recognizing June as Caribbean American Heritage Month. The Caribbean American community has been a beacon of leadership in government, business, literature, music, science, entertainment, the arts, and numerous other fields, making outstanding contributions to the U.S., Maryland, and Montgomery County.
