Black History Month Commemoration

On Feb. 4, 2025, the Montgomery County Council hosted its annual commemoration for Black History Month, which is celebrated nationally every February. This year’s commemoration focused on the national theme, "African Americans and Labor" and included a proclamation presentation and video interviews highlighting how Black Americans have contributed to the progression of the labor movement in the United States in the past, present and future.
