Women’s History Month
On March 11, 2025, the Council presents a proclamation with local leaders and community advocates to celebrate Women’s History Month. The theme for Women’s History Month this year is “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations” in recognition of the collective strength and influence of women across our diverse County. Speakers included Council President Kate Stewart, Councilmembers Natali Fani-González, Marilyn Balcombe and Laurie-Anne Sayles and Dr. Anne Khademian, executive director at The Universities at Shady Grove and associate vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University System of Maryland.
