National Agriculture Day
On March 18, 2025, Councilmembers Marilyn Balcombe and Dawn Luedtke present a proclamation recognizing National Agriculture Day. This year’s theme is “Together We Grow."
Montgomery County’s agricultural producers contribute more than $280 million to our economy each year, with the County being home to over 70,000 acres of agriculturally assessed lands and over 500 farms that employ more than 10,000 people.
The Agricultural Reserve is a cornerstone of Montgomery County – it serves as a testament to our commitment to our strong agricultural heritage and continues to be a landmark in land preservation across the nation.
