Celebrating Pride Month
On June 24, 2025, the Council, led by Councilmember Evan Glass, presents a proclamation for LGBTQ+ Pride Month.
During this important month we celebrate the accomplishments and victories of the LGBTQ+ community, such as the 12th anniversary of marriage equality in Maryland, and the federal Respect for Marriage Act, which protects same sex and interracial marriages.
Montgomery County reaffirms its commitment to support our nonbinary and transgender and gender expansive residents, particularly Black trans women, who continue to face marginalization, discrimination and violence. Happy Pride!
