Domestic Violence Awareness Month

On Oct. 21, 2025, Councilmember Sidney Katz presents a proclamation to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Speakers included Dr. Earl Stoddard, assistant chief administrative officer, on behalf of County Executive Marc Elrich and Tom Manion, director of the Montgomery County Family Justice Center.

Guests included representatives from the Commission for Women, Department of Health and Human Services (DHSS) Behavioral Health and Crisis Services, DVS legal services, Family Justice Center, Human Trafficking Prevention Committee, Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Board of Education, Sheriff’s Office, State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Volunteer Legal Advocates.
