Council Spotlight

A LIFETIME OF TEACHING

Rachel Robinson, who is believed to be the longest continuous teacher of Hebrew classes in Montgomery County, was honored by the Montgomery County Council on June 21 as she prepares to retire from her regular workload of the past 45 years that included teaching first, third, sixth and seventh graders at Temple Sinai, Washington Hebrew Congregation, Kehillah and Temple Shalom. Those at the ceremonies in Rockville included County Councilmembers Nancy Navarro and George Leventhal; Councilmember Leventhal’s sons Daniel and Francisco, each of whom was a student of Mrs. Robinson; and Rabbi Michael Feshbach of Temple Shalom.
