Women’s History Month 2018

Councilmembers Nancy Floreen and Nancy Navarro presented a proclamation recognizing March as Women’s History Month. This year’s Women’s History Month theme “Nevertheless She Persisted: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women,” focuses on continuing to fight and succeed in bringing positive changes to the lives of diverse American women. The Council was joined by the following representatives of the Montgomery County Commission for Women, which works to ensure women are treated fairly in all areas of their lives: Lorna Forde, President; Nicole Drew, First Vice President; Tracy Evans, Second Vice President; and Jodi Finkelstein, Executive Director; and Monica Ramirez; Vernisha Greene, Angela Quigley, Donna Rojas, and Carmen Kaarid.

A proclamation recognizing Women's History Month
