No More Trash Bags for Children Living in Foster Care Day

Councilmember Sidney Katz presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council recognizing March 13, 2018 as “No More Trash Bags For Children Living in Foster Care Day” and honoring the outstanding work of Comfort Cases, a Montgomery County-based nonprofit organization. Comfort Cases provides duffel bags, backpacks or luggage filled with items that are both essential and comforting for children living in foster care on their journey to find their forever home. Comfort Cases’ Founder Rob Scheer gave an impassioned speech calling on all residents to fulfill our obligations to children in foster care.
