Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Commemoration

The Council celebrated Montgomery County’s Asian American and Pacific Islander community with a breakfast with community members, a video and awards presentation for community leaders and a proclamation. Council President Hans Riemer and Councilmember Roger Berliner were joined by Tufail Ahmad, chairman of the Montgomery County Muslim Foundation; Judge Chung Pak, Korean American Association of Montgomery County; Devang Shah, immigration attorney; Tho Tran, executive director of Vietnamese American Services; Dr. Revathi Vikram, Commissioner on Aging in Montgomery County and board member of ASHA for Women; and Janet Yu, owner of the East Hollywood Cafe. #AsianAmericanHeritageMonth
