Loud Noise Alert

The Federal Emergency Management Agency in cooperation with the Federal Communications Commission will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system. The WEA test, sent to cell phones, will begin at 2:18 p.m. The WEA test will cause your cell phone to vibrate and emit a distinct audio signal. The text-like message will indicate that it is a test and no action is required. The EAS test will begin at 2:20 p.m. and will be sent to radio and television stations. Learn more here.
