Lunar New Year

County Executive Marc Elrich presents a Lunar New Year Proclamation to community leaders. The Lunar New Year is the most important holiday of the year for residents of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese decent and many take part in a series of month-long celebrations across the County. Asian American community leaders from the business and nonprofit sectors met with the CE to discuss their FY20 budget priorities which include education, small business development and support for nonprofits providing linguistically appropriate services to Asian Americans, now the fastest growing population in Montgomery County.
