MCDOT’s Division of Parking Management has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the Woodmont-Rugby Garage (Garage 35), Cordell-St. Elmo Garage (Garage 40 ) and Bethesda-Elm Garage (Garage 57) in Bethesda; and the Bonifant and Easley Parking Lot (Lot 29) in Silver Spring. The four, new stations increase the total number of EV stations in County parking facilities to 16 with the capacity to simultaneously charge 32 electric vehicles.
The other parking facilities that have EV charging stations are Garages 11, 31, 36 and 47 in Bethesda;
Garages 5, 7, 9, 60 and 61 in Silver Spring; and Garage 45 in Wheaton. Additional charging stations will be added in response to demand.
