Council Public Hearing on Campaign Financing Amendment at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 17

ROCKVILLE, Md., October 3, 2017—The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. on Expedited Bill 31-17, Elections - Public Campaign Financing - Contributions - Amendments, which would increase the amount of money an applicant candidate who is not married can donate or loan the candidate's campaign to match the amount permitted for a candidate who is married; and generally amend the public campaign financing law governing eligible contributions.

The public hearings will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building, which is located at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville. The meeting will be televised live by County Cable Montgomery (CCM) on Cable Channels 996 (high definition) and 6 (standard definition) on Comcast; Channels 1056 (HD) and 6 (SD) on RCN; and Channel 30 on Verizon. It also will be available live via streaming through the Council web site at http://tinyurl.com/z9982v8
