Mother’s Day is focus of “En Sintonia con el Concejo del Condado,” today at 2:30 p.m.

ROCKVILLE, Md., May 11, 2018— Gabriela Romo, psychologist and bilingual counselor; Blanca Kling, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Police Department and Gloria Bonilla, community outreach advisor for Montgomery College, are the featured guests on today’s episode of “En Sintonia con el Concejo del Condado” (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), airing at 2:30 p.m. on Radio America (WACA 1540AM). They will discuss issues relevant to mothers in Montgomery County, in the context of Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, May 13. They will discuss the challenges faced by mothers during the different stages of their children's development and strategies for dealing with them, opportunities for young people to interact in a positive way with police through community outreach programs and opportunities offered by Montgomery College for mothers who want to expand their education.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.

Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
