Under its workforce umbrella, Montgomery County Public Libraries offers a range of workshops to meet the needs of job-seeking county residents. Workshops offered this fall include:

LinkedIn Bootcamp for 45+

Learn how to use LinkedIn as a tool to conduct a successful job search in this two-session workshop. The power of LinkedIn as a powerful marketing and networking tool is often underutilized and misunderstood, particularly by 45+ job seekers, even though 95 percent of recruiters use LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Bootcamp for Jobseekers 45+ Part I

Focuses on the resources LinkedIn provides to the job seeker.

LinkedIn Bootcamp for Jobseekers 45+ Part II:

Focuses on enabling job seekers to use LinkedIn strategically as part of an overall job search strategy.

How to Apply for Jobs with Montgomery County Government

Find out everything you ever wanted to know about applying for jobs with Montgomery County Government.  In this practical session, a recruiter from the County’s Office of Human Resources will provide an overview of the County’s job application process.

H.I.R.E. – Helping Individuals Reach Employment

Meet privately with career specialists who will be on hand to help with resumes, online job applications, job research, career exploration and much more. Available slots for one-on-one assistance fill fast. Early registration is encouraged.
