Intersection of Chandlee Mill Road and Gold Mine Road to Close Beginning June 17
For Immediate Release: Thursday, June 13, 2019
Beginning the morning of Monday, June 17, the intersection of Chandlee Mill Road and Gold Mine Road will close through the end of 2019 while MCDOT replaces a bridge on Gold Mine Road. Gold Mine Road at the bridge will remain closed until all remaining roadwork is completed and is scheduled to reopen by the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.
Detour Route:
The detour plan route will direct traffic from Gold Mine Road to Route 97 South (Georgia Ave), to Route 108 East (Sandy Spring Road), continuing to Route
650 North (New Hampshire Avenue). From Route 650 to Gold Mine Road, the same detour route will apply in reverse.
About the Bridge Replacement:
