Montgomery County Government has earned awards, in every category, from the Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) for its exemplary commitment to the workforce by creating a culture that allows employees to be successful in the workplace, at home and in the community.
AWE recognized Montgomery County Government for its exceptional commitment to providing best practices supporting workers of all abilities; for supporting workers 50+; and for exhibiting a workplace culture that is continuously and comprehensively supportive of a diverse and inclusive workforce.

This is the 20th year that AWE has recognized excellence in the workplace. The award-winning companies represented organizations of all sizes and industry types from across the U.S.
AWE is a public/private, nonprofit coalition committed to empowering employers to create and become recognized as excellent places to work. The awards were made based on reviews by an independent panel of professors; PhD professionals; and doctoral candidates in business, industrial and organizational psychology and human resources.
