Montgomery County Announces Schedule Change for the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center; Ceremony Scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center will take place on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. Please note that the date and time for the ceremony has been updated due to a schedule change.

The $70.9 million project and 92,000-square foot building is located at 11701 Georgia Avenue. This is the first combined complex of its kind in Montgomery County, which will include a library, community recreation center, Friends of the Library used bookstore, park, underground parking garage and redesigned roadway. 

The facility will open immediately after the ceremony.
