The following committee meetings are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17. Meeting: Health and Human Services (HHS) Committee
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Third floor hearing room
HHS Committee: Councilmembers Gabe Albornoz (Chair), Evan Glass (Lead for Homelessness and Vulnerable Communities) and Craig Rice

Health and Human Services Boards and Commissions
The HHS Committee will continue its meetings with representatives of the Department of Health and Human Services’ boards and commissions. The Committee will review how the County’s advisory boards and commissions can further the County’s policy priorities. Dr. Raymond Crowel, director of the Department of Health and Human Services, is among those expected to attend the meeting.

Meeting: Government Operations and Fiscal Policy (GO) Committee
Time: 9:30 a.m.

GO Committee: Council President Nancy Navarro (Chair), Councilmember Andrew Friedson and Council Vice President Sidney Katz

Fiscal Plan
The GO Committee will review the County’s fiscal plan. This discussion is a continuation from the GO Committee’s review of the County’s economic indicators and fiscal policies on July 11, 2019. The committee will consider select updates to the fiscal plan and fiscal policies. David Platt, chief economist, Department of Finance; and Chris Mullin, lead fiscal and policy analyst, Office of Management and Budget, are among those expected to attend the meeting.
