Montgomery County Government Will Remain Open Jan. 7; Liberal Leave for Nonessential Employees Effective 2 p.m.

Montgomery County Government offices and departments will remain OPEN Tuesday, Jan. 7, according to their normal operating schedules with optional LIBERAL LEAVE for nonessential employees due to weather conditions. Essential employees must work their regular hours and report as scheduled. 

Montgomery County Recreation’s programming schedule has been modified:

  • All programs, classes, activities and rentals that begin at 3 p.m. or later are cancelled.
  • The Club Adventure program will open early. Parents must pick up participants by 3 p.m.
  • The summer job fair scheduled for today at the Plum Gar Community Recreation Center is cancelled.
  • The jersey pick-up scheduled for Jan. 7 at the Recreation Warehouse (751 Twinbrook Parkway) is cancelled.
  • Senior centers will close at 3 p.m. Recreation and aquatic centers will remain open for drop-in activities only.
