ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 26, 2020—The Montgomery County Council will host a Senior Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Leisure World Club House 2 auditorium (3300 N. Leisure World Blvd. in Silver Spring). Doors will open at 8 a.m. Attendees not residing in Leisure World must stop at the security gate before proceeding to the Town Hall Meeting.

“Reaching out to our senior population is a top priority for the Council,” said Council President Sidney Katz. “I am so pleased that this, first, senior town hall, is being held in Leisure World, which just happens to be in the District that I represent. Our seniors are a great resource and it is important that we connect with this population and hear their thoughts and concerns.”

The meeting, focused on senior residents, will enable individuals to voice opinions on specific issues and will allow them to ask questions of the Councilmembers in an organized, but informal, setting.

Language interpretation assistance is available upon request with at least three working days’ notice by calling 240-777-7931.
