MCDOT Sponsors Adult Learn to Ride and Confident City Cycling Classes May 2 and June 6

For Immediate Release: Friday, February 28, 2020

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) and the Washington Area Bicyclists Association (WABA) are co-sponsoring two bike classes designed for adults age 18 or older to help them learn the skills and techniques to ride comfortably, confidently and effectively on County streets. Registration for classes is required and costs only $10 for County residents or is free to WABA and MCLiberty members.

The adult, three-hour Learn to Ride class is for adults who have never ridden a bike before, have tried to learn but have been unsuccessful or who have not ridden in some time. Certified WABA instructors will help participants learn to start and stop, balance, glide, pedal and steer a bike.
