ROCKVILLE, Md., May 8, 2020—Cesar Iván Eloisa, program manager with the Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA); Dr. Cesar Palacios, director of Proyecto Salud; Julie A. Crespín-Bermúdez, MC311 customer service representative; and Daniel Jones, lead partnership specialist, U.S. Census Bureau, will be the featured guests on this week’s En Sintonía con El Concejo del Condado de Montgomery (In Tune with the Montgomery County Council), airing today at 2 p.m. on Radio America (WILC 900AM).
Cesar Iván Eloisa will share information about renters’ rights and rental assistance for residents who have been financially impacted by the Covid-19 public health emergency. Dr. Cesar Palacios will discuss the health care resources available to residents at the Proyecto Salud Clinic, which has the mission of providing high quality, culturally competent and affordable primary healthcare services to its patients. Julie A. Crespín-Bermúdez will talk about how residents can take advantage of the County’s MC311 service, which provides a single contact number and website for non-emergency requests for information and service requests for Montgomery County government.
Daniel Jones will discuss the importance of participating in the U.S. 2020 Census. In mid-March, residents began receiving invitations to complete the 2020 census. Community members can complete the census online, by phone or by mail.
The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station. Lilian Mass is the show’s host.
Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
