MCDOT to Hold July 22 Virtual Public Meeting on US 29 Mobility and Reliability Study

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will hold an online public meeting about the US 29 Mobility and Reliability Study on Wednesday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will offer an opportunity for real-time virtual interaction between MCDOT project staff and members of the public and will be recorded for later viewing for those who are unable to join live.

The US 29 study presents options for improving mobility, reliability and safety for transit, drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians along US 29 between Tech Road and the Silver Spring Transit Center.  At the meeting, MCDOT staff and consultants will present findings of the analysis and gather public input to inform future steps. 

Topics to be discussed will include:

• Roadway and transit priority alternatives considered.
• Potential bicycle and pedestrian improvements.
• Traffic results and project cost estimates.
