Press Releases - Department of Transportation

For Immediate Release: Thursday, July 2, 2020

Every week, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and Chief Administrative Officer Andrew Kleine recognize County employees who are “High Risers” -- those who have risen to the challenge of the COVID-19 health crisis. The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is very proud that its Division of Transportation Engineering Construction Management and Inspection teams have been recognized for their exceptional work. Team members recognized include Area Engineers Shirley Reeves-Collette and Bill Sittinger and Construction Representatives Glenn Hane, Michelle Haley, Dilshad Hussain, Mohamed Elfallah, and Tom Kidwell.

Construction activities have been designated as essential services during the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis. MCDOT is responsible for the oversight and management of the County's capital transportation projects, which provide critical infrastructure and safety improvements, such as White Flint West, Snouffer School Road South and North, Seminary Road Improvements and Frederick Road Bike Path.
