Virtual town hall with arts and humanities sector on Thursday, July 16

Residents can participate via Zoom Webinar

ROCKVILLE, Md., July 15, 2020—Councilmembers Craig Rice and Evan Glass will participate in an Arts Virtual Town Hall with the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County on Thursday, July 16 at 5 p.m. to receive input about the design and execution of a Arts COVID Relief Fund to be launched in August 2020. Residents will have the opportunity submit questions, participate in polls and to listen to the Zoom webinar on the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the arts and humanities sector in the County.

Councilmember Rice, Chair of the Education and Culture Committee, and Councilmember  Glass, Lead for Homelessness and Vulnerable Communities on the Health and Human Services Committee, will make opening remarks and Suzan Jenkins, chief executive officer of the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County will be a panelist.

In addition to this virtual town hall with the arts and humanities sector, County grants staff is available from July 17 to 31 for one-to-one Zoom meetings to hear about the specific needs, concerns and experiences of residents and organizations.
