ROCKVILLE, Md., Sept. 9, 2020—Montgomery County Council President Sidney Katz will host the next installment in his ongoing series of virtual business briefings for County residents on Friday, Sept. 11 at 12:30 p.m. The briefing will take place on the online video communications platform Zoom.
Council President Katz will be joined by Anna Hargrave, executive director of the Community Foundation, and Julie Verratti, co-owner of Denizens Brewing Company. The discussion will focus on bringing together community organizations, local businesses, nonprofits and residents in ongoing efforts to provide economic relief from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how local businesses are adapting and increasing their resiliency during the pandemic.
“Local organizations and businesses are making incredible efforts not just to adapt and survive the economic challenges posed by COVID-19, but to help residents in need and help ensure that our community prospers,” said Council President Katz. “As a former small business owner, I know how integral local businesses are, as well as the organizations that support them and work with them to solve problems in the community. I look forward to discussing how we can support them and the work they are doing.”
