County Executive Marc Elrich to host Virtual Community Forum on Reimagining Public Safety

For Immediate Release: Monday, November 30, 2020

County Executive Marc Elrich will host a virtual community forum on Reimagining Public Safety in Montgomery County. The forum will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3.

County Executive Elrich created the Reimagining Task Force of community partners to help the County reform policing and reimagine public safety. A recent survey was conducted with County residents to measure their assessment of the Montgomery County Police Department, its structure, services, and funding. During the community forum, the results of the survey will be presented, and residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the County Executive and the Reimagining Public Safety Task Force.

The virtual forum will be held via Zoom. To participate, you may register in advance here. Space is limited. If you are unable to secure a registration, the forum may be viewed live on the County's Facebook page, the County Cable Montgomery page, and at Comcast/RCN Channel 6 and HD Channel 996 or Verizon Channel 30.
