Rockville, Md., Mar. 4 2021—Council President Tom Hucker and Vice President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media briefing on Monday, Mar. 8 at 11 a.m. The focus of this week’s media availability will be on vaccination efforts and Montgomery County’s equity framework for vaccine distribution to the County's hardest-hit communities and most vulnerable residents. The duo will share information about the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine, what the increase in the federal distribution of vaccines will mean for residents, and reiterate the need for a mass vaccination site in Montgomery County.
The Council leaders will also discuss their ongoing consultation with public health leaders and Montgomery County Public Schools who are working to keep children, teachers, support staff, and administrators safe during the return to in-person learning. In addition, they will cover important upcoming matters on the Council agenda.
Montgomery County Health and Human Services Director Dr. Raymond Crowel will join the media availability and provide a Covid-19 public health update.
