She will also speak about LHI’s health and wellness program, which provides information and education to the Hispanic community about the COVID-19 vaccines.

To conclude the program, the author Ms. Yelin, joined by her granddaughter Lulú, will present their new children's book titled "Seguros en Casa" (Safe at Home), which talks about the COVID-19 pandemic and encourages children and young people to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Montgomery County Council and Radio America have entered a partnership that provides the Latino community with key information on issues and programs. The partnership also provides a forum for residents to express their views and ask questions. The partnership includes the weekly one-hour show each Friday on the Washington metropolitan area’s most popular Spanish language station.

Andrea Sarralde and Liliana Henao are the hosts of this week’s show and will continue to co-host the shows this fall.

Each week, the show features guests talking about important issues before the Council and provides information about programs offered by the County to help residents.
