Rockville, Md., April 1, 2022— On Monday, April 4 at 11 a.m., Montgomery County Council President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media availability with Montgomery County Health and Human Services Acting Health Officer Dr. James Bridgers. The duo will provide an update on upcoming Council deliberations and provide a public health update.
Council President Albornoz will discuss ongoing capital and operating budget deliberations and final action on Expedited Bill 49-21, Police - Police Accountability Board - Administrative Charging Committee – Established, and the I-270 Corridor Forward Plan. He also will discuss the Council’s ongoing commitment to reducing health disparities including action on a $450,000 special appropriation to expand public health services for uninsured children and young people through a pediatric mobile medical vehicle.
The media availability will be held via Zoom and is for credentialed members of the media.
