Councilmember Sidney Katz to Host Virtual Senior Resource Forum on Wednesday, April 6

Forum’s “Healthy Living” theme focuses on resources available for seniors to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle 

ROCKVILLE, Md., April 1, 2022—Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz, who represents Council District 3, which includes Gaithersburg, Rockville, Washington Grove, Leisure World and parts of Aspen Hill, Derwood, North Potomac and Potomac, will host a virtual Senior Resource Forum, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6. The event will take place online via Zoom.

The forum, entitled “Healthy Living,” will provide helpful information about local classes and programs available to seniors to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  

"I am looking forward to hosting our next installment of my Senior Forums," said Councilmember Katz. "We know that the last two years have made it more challenging for people, especially seniors, to stay active with the closing of many gyms and senior centers. I am pleased to bring together experts from Montgomery County Recreation and the Department of Health and Human Services to focus on how seniors can live a fulfilling life while maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle." 

The following experts will be speaking: 

  • Josi Makon, Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA), Montgomery County Health and Human Services 
  • Stacy Sigler, Montgomery County Department of Recreation
