Montgomery County Cancels Arbor Day Tree Planting Event Scheduled for Friday, April 28, Due to Predictions of Inclement Weather

Montgomery County has canceled its planned celebration of Arbor Day and a tree planting event scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday, April 28, at Wheaton Veterans Urban Park in Wheaton.

The County’s Department of Environmental Protection and the Wheaton Urban District, which were to co-host the event, decided to cancel the tree planting due to overwhelming predictions of bad weather for Friday afternoon.
