Winter Storm Update

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is winding down plowing operations and is expected to complete County snow clearing by 6 p.m. The MCDOT Storm Operation Center is accepting MC311 requests for missed streets. Residents can submit a service request for missed streets online to the MCDOT Storm Operation Center.

The County has received reports for over 200 trees down or on wires across the County. MCDOT crews are working with Pepco to respond to these reports. Residents are asked to take caution as wind is likely to raise the number of fallen trees overnight.

Residents can also contact the County’s customer service center MC311 by calling 3-1-1 (within the County) or 240-777-0311. Outside of MC311 operating hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, residents can call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000, to report fallen trees blocking the roadway and other non-emergency concerns. For health-related emergencies or active downed power lines, dial 911.
