Maryland Senior Olympics to Host Winter Games

The Maryland Senior Olympics (MSO) is partnering with The Gardens Ice House and the National Capital Curling Center in Laurel to present the 2011 Winter Olympics games, on Saturday, February 12, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The Ice House is located at the Fairland Regional Park, 13800 Old Gunpowder Road.

Events include ice hockey and curling and are open to participants age 50 and over. Hockey players can register as individuals and teams will be chosen to insure that the competitions are evenly matched. Registration fee for hockey players is $30 per player.

The curling event is being held at the National Capital Curling Center next to the Gardens Ice House. Registration is $10 and includes a basic introductory curling lesson.
