Detectives from the 4th District Investigative Section have been investigating a possible domestic abduction that occurred today in the Good Hope area of the County.

At approximately 2:34 p.m. today, police received a call from a witness in the 15700 block of Thompson Road who observed a female who appeared to be semi-conscious and was in a male subject’s Trailblazer.  The male made claims to witnesses that he was taking her to a hospital and was seen headed northbound towards Route 198.  Through investigation the female has been identified as Sara Ann Schum and the male has been identified as Floyd “Boony” Powell.  Schum and Powell were previously involved in a relationship and were seen together this afternoon outside a residence in the 15700 block of Thompson Road.

Investigators have not located Schum at local hospitals and police and family are concerned for her welfare.  Police are asking anyone who sees Powell, Schum, or the Chevrolet Trailblazer to call 9-1-1 immediately.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either Powell or Schum or the Trailblazer should also immediately call 9-1-1.  Police are also asking Powell or Schum to contact police so they can confirm Schum’s condition.
