Update: Fatal Collision on Rockville Pike

For Immediate Release: Thursday, June 21, 2012

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are continuing to investigate a fatal collision that occurred on May 16th on Rockville Pike.

Following the collision, Patricia Greer Parks, age 56, of the 18200 block of Rolling Meadow Way in Olney was transported to the hospital.  She lost consciousness in the ambulance and was pronounced deceased upon arriving at the hospital.

Today, CRU detectives received autopsy results from the Medical Examiner stating that Parks had suffered from a pre-existing medical condition, and her death was not a result of the collision.

Due to these findings, this collision is no longer considered a fatal motor vehicle collision.
