Update: Missing Man Located

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, August 29, 2012

On August 16, at approximately 5:30 a.m., the vehicle of Kharon Hatorai Greene (“Torey”) was located unoccupied on Brighton Dam Bridge in Brookeville.

On August 24, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a WSSC worker located a body floating in the water of Brighton Dam.  Montgomery County Fire/Rescue, Howard County Fire/Rescue, and MCP recovered the body.  The body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for identification to be made.

Yesterday, MCP was notified by the Medical Examiner that the body was identified as Kharon Hatorai Greene.  At this time, the cause of Greene's death is still to be determined.

The police department and Greene's family thank the media and the community for publicizing this missing person case.
