Update - Arrest Made in Injured Child Investigation

Late in October, detectives charged the father of a 4-year-old boy who left his son unattended on October 11 in the 8800 block of Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring.  The child fell from the 9^th floor apartment window and received life-threatening injuries.

The father, Christopher Keith Harley, age 30, of the 4000 block of 23^rd Parkway in Temple Hills, MD, was charged with child neglect and leaving a child under the age of eight unattended. On October 26, Harley was arrested and is currently out on bond awaiting a December court date.

The child remains hospitalized in serious condition.
