Update: Cause of Death Determined in Gaithersburg Homicide

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Homicide/Sex Section are continuing to investigate an undetermined death that occurred yesterday morning in Gaithersburg.

Yesterday, the victim was identified as Cesar Smith, age 45, of Gaithersburg.  When Smith was found deceased, his body showed evidence of blunt force trauma.  Today, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled that one fatal stab wound was the cause of Smith's death.
