UPDATE: Robbery Suspect Arrested

Wanda D. Battle, age 45, of Suitland, Maryland, has been arrested on the strength of a warrant for committing three violent armed robberies in 2011 and 2012 in Montgomery County.  She is charged with three counts of armed robbery and three counts of first degree assault.

During this robbery investigation, Battle’s two co-conspirators were identified, arrested, and convicted of these crimes.  Battle was not located by police and a warrant was issued for her arrest.  Montgomery County Police- Major Crimes detectives asked for the public’s assistance in locating Battle.  Investigators received a tip regarding her whereabouts and on January 9, she was arrested outside of a residence in Suitland, Maryland.  She was transported to the Central Processing Unit in Rockville and was released on bond.
