Update: Fatal Pedestrian Collision on New Hampshire Avenue - Identities Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department- Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continue to investigate a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred early this morning

The pedestrian was transported to Suburban Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The pedestrian is identified as Tschimid Moschkin, age 77, of the 13600 block of Montvale Drive in Silver Spring.

The striking vehicle, a green, 1999 Lincoln Continental, was operated by Mark Wesley Chambre, age 64, of the 13900 block of Zeigler Way in Silver Spring.

The circumstances of this collision remain under investigation. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.
