Update: Victim Identified in Briggs Chaney Area Homicide - Reward Offered for Information

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department- Major Crimes Division continue to investigate a homicide that occurred yesterday in the Edgewood Neighborhood Park on Robey Road.

The victim is identified as Garrett Alexander McClees, age 22, of an undetermined address.

On October 8 at approximately 4:43 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received multiple calls for a shooting and the sound of shots fired in the Edgewood Neighborhood Park located at 13900 Robey Road in the Briggs Chaney area. Montgomery County and Maryland-National Capital Park police officers and Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the park and located a 22-year-old male, now identified as McClees, suffering from gunshot wounds; he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Detectives continue to urge anyone who may have information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070.
