Update: Victim Identified in Germantown Homicide – Reward Offered for Information

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department- Major Crimes Division continue to investigate a homicide that occurred yesterday on Sage Way in Germantown.

The victim is identified as Robert Wayne King, age 30, of Frederick.

On December 16 at approximately 7:14 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center (9-1-1) received a call for a shooting in the 18600 block of Sage Way. Officers from the 5th District and Fire and Rescue personnel responded and located an adult male, now identified as King, on the ground adjacent to a residence. King was suffering life-threatening injuries from apparent gunshot wounds and was transported to a local trauma center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives continue to urge anyone who may have information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s).
